Dots Application:

For best results use one protocol at a time to give the body a clear message.

Ideally use on one ear and when removing the beads after 5 to 7 days apply to the other ear.  This ensures that the ear beads do not cause irritation to the skin (which can happen with continuous use over a given point).

Press the beads for 30 to 60 seconds several times a day to stimulate the point.

What the points do:

Shen Men: considered a Master Point, it is used with many other ear points for a variety of reasons including anxiety, stress, depression, insomnia, pain, addiction and detoxification.  Some acupuncture practitioners describe Shen Men as one of the most calming and relaxing ear point and use it with all ear point treatments!

Zero: it is the ear acupoint thought to bring the body into balance. It connects to the Vagus nerve and can be used both to give energy and to calm the nervous system.  It is generally used to balance brain activity and hormones.

Sympathetic (hidden point!): the purpose of this point is not to induce deep relaxation, nor solely to achieve parasympathetic function but rather to bring about balance and appropriate autonomic response, between these two poles, so the body can have easy access to both survival (sympathetic) and regeneration (parasympathetic) aspects of health. Therefore it’s helpful for anything related to sleep and healing.

Heart: strengthens our spirit and calms the mind, invites joy, eases anxiety, treats insomnia, restlessness, and chest tightness, boosts memory and concentration.

Omega II is related to a person’s higher-order cognitive and emotional development and can be used to calm overactivity of the mind.
